Even though you are the best man, you are not the only speaker, so keep your wedding speech short and to the point.  Often a bridesmaid or the bride and groom’s parents will also want to make a speech, and when you add in step-parents, you need to keep your speech short so everyone will have enough time.  Using these ideas will ensure that your ‘best man speech” is unforgettable; so make sure you put the time into it that is needed and if you are going to speak from the top of your head, use index cards.
